Jack Riggs, MD: Chief Executive Officer
Jack has served as CEO of Pita Pit USA, Inc., which acquired The Pita Pit system in the U.S. in April 2005, since the company's inception. Prior to that, he served as the Lt. Governor for the State of Idaho and also served five years as a member of the Idaho State Senate. Dr. Riggs is also a licensed physician and has practiced medicine since 1980, including creating and operating a small chain of emergency medical and family care clinics in Idaho since 1986.
Nelson Lang: FOUNDER, Board of Directors
Nelson has the honor of being the first person to ever roll a pita at The Pita Pit in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. As co-founder in 1995 and co-owner of Canadian-based Pita Pit Ltd., Nelson and his partner owned The Pita Pit in the U.S. from 1999 through 2005, until Pita Pit USA, Inc. acquired The Pita Pit concept for the entire U.S. Since April 2005, Nelson has brought his considerable expertise to PPUSA as a member of the Board of Directors.
Corey Bowman: Vice President of franchise growth
Corey has served as Vice President of Franchise Development since April 2005. Prior to joining the PPUSA corporate office, he owned and operated three Pita Pit franchises in Eugene, OR, Bellingham, WA, and Seattle, WA. Corey graduated from the University of Idaho in 2002 with a degree in Business Administration.
Paul Erwin: Vice President of Franchisee enrichment
Paul has served as Vice President of Administration since April 2005. He previously owned and operated a Pita Pit franchise in Santa Barbara, California. Paul graduated with a B.F.A. from the University of Idaho in 1996.
Peter Riggs: Vice President of Brand Promotion
Peter has served as Vice President of Corporate Development since April 2005. Peter previously owned and operated a Pita Pit franchise in Santa Barbara, California. He also managed his father's campaign for Lt. Governor of the State of Idaho before graduating with a B.F.A. from the University of Idaho in 2002.
Brenda Zosel: Financial Controller
Brenda relocated from Minnesota to join the Pita Pit USA team in February 2006. As Financial Controller, she oversees the financial functions of PPUSA as well as all of the Pita Pit corporate and franchise locations across the country. Brenda previously worked at a manufacturing company for seven years after graduating from Metropolitan State University with a BS in Accounting.
LEE STRAIT: CORPORATE COUNSEL
Lee has served as in-house counsel to Pita Pit, Inc. since December 2006. He graduated with a B.A. from Eastern Washington University in 1992 and received his J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2001.
TRACY CARBONNEAU: DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Tracy has served as Director of Marketing since March 2010. Previously he held marketing leadership roles with a variety of national and regional restaurant chains, including McDonald's, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Taco John's, and Sirloin Stockade. Tracy is a graduate of the University of Kansas where he studied Marketing and Advertising.
Duane Dlouhy: Director of Construction
Duane has been with Pita Pit, Inc. since early 2007 serving as Director of Construction. Prior to that, he was in the automotive industry, functioning in leadership roles for Hertz Car Sales for fifteen years. Duane is a member of the Boise State Alumni Association and played for the Boise State Broncos 1980 National Championship Football team.
benjamin drake: director of operational systems
Ben currently serves as the Director of the Pitas and Bakeries Division for Pita Pit, Inc. and has worked in various positions with the company since March 2007. From August 2005 to February 2007, Ben travelled the world, visiting over 30 countries before deciding to make Coeur d'Alene his home. From 2003 to 2005, he was a Branch Manager for Randstad North America where he specialized in temporary staffing. Ben graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Business Marketing.
Jennifer DRAKE: media Director
Jennifer joined the Pita Pit team in July 2007, working in various positions before becoming Media Director. She previously worked as Senior Legislative Assistant to a United States Congressman in Washington D.C. Jennifer studied public relations and international and comparative politics at the University of Idaho and the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
Jane Hammons: Director of Training and Education
Jane brings nearly 20 years of teaching experience to her role as Director of Training and Education at Pita Pit USA. With the company since June 2007, she heads up training at the National Training Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She holds bachelor's degrees in math and psychology, as well as a master's in education.
stephanie powers: DIRECTOR OF daily discipline marketing
Stephanie has served as Director of Regional Support Services for Pita Pit, Inc. since February 2008. From February 1996 to January 2008, Stephanie worked as an Organizational Development Consultant in Idaho. From 1998 to December 2007, she consulted for the University of Idaho in Coeur d'Alene as the Coordinator of the Program Evaluation Team and K-12 Professional Development.
BILL WILFONG: DIRECTOR OF NEW FRANCHISE DEVELOPMENT
Bill has been with the Pita Pit since 2007 and currently serves as the Director of New Franchise Development. Prior to that, he served as Pita Pit’s Director of Special Support, which included managing national food contracts and handling operations for select Pita Pit Restaurants.
